Appointments - Please ring the practice for an appointment

Appointments

We have changed the way we operate.

If you need medical advice please contact the practice any morning before  9 AM and a GP will return your call.  They will assess if you require an appointment at the practice.

Treatment Room - please ring reception to book a suitable appointment.

Our front doors are open, please check in with reception staff on arrival for an appointment.

Do NOT attend the practice if you are feeling unwell, have a new persistent cough and/or fever, loss of taste or loss of smell.

Appointments System

Telephone 028 91823020 and press option 3 to make an appointment to see a practice nurse or treatment room nurse.

Please make a separate appointment for each patient to be seen.

Press option 2 to request a GP call back.  This option opens at 08:30 am and closes once all routine calls are filled.

Patients have the right to specify a preference for a particular doctor at the time of booking their appointment.

The doctors aim to offer appointments for urgent medical problems within 24 hours.  Please note that it may not be possible to provide urgent appointments with the doctor of your choice.  Currently all GP appointments are telephone first and if it is not possible to resolve your query via the telephone then a face to face appointment will be arranged.

Treatment Room

The treatment room operates an appointment system and is open from:

  • 09:00 am until 12:30 pm
  • 13:15 pm until 17:00 pm

Telephone Advice

Receptionists are available 08:30 to 18:00.  If you require telephone access to your doctor, your contact number will be noted and the doctor will return your call. All requests to speak to a GP should be made before 9 am.

Home Visits

Home Visits are available at the discretion of the doctor.  If a home visit is required please inform the receptionist before 10.00 am if possible.

It is helpful if you can give the receptionist brief clinical details to advise the doctor about the nature of the problem and its urgency.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.  There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about upcoming screening or blood tests that may be due.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
